Ski the fall line at Snow Cruise Onze located 0.6 mi (1 km) from central Hariusu. It's also full of great shops and restaurants, so you can spend the afternoon having a wander. If you master the slopes, Ski Village Asari and Asari River Onsen Ski Area are both nearby.
Room was clean and the mattress and pillows were more comfortable than we expected. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We extended our check out time and that process was very easy as well. Would stay here again.
Online pics showed a room with a desk but mine had only a bench and small low table. I asked the front desk staff to help with making a reservation and they refused and instead wanted me to use a QR code for a reservation service that did not have the restaurant listed. They just stared at me blankly.
The staff here were wonderful. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was problem free and a great experience. The free breakfast was very nice with an amazing virgen from the dining room. I can’t say enough good things about the staff and the general manager. I would definitely come back here again.

Room: We booked the Classy King room for 2 people and it was spacious and clean! We were very happy with the amenities and features in the room.
Lounge: Classy rooms include access to their lounge which has coffee/tea and desserts throughout the day. It's a good space to relax or catch on up some work.
Dining: The salmon flakes set was delicious and breakfast buffet was tasty with a wide array of fresh food.

Due to my schedule, I could only stay for a single day, but it was the kind of hotel where I would have loved to stay longer if I had the time. The comfortable bed, the accommodation itself, and the delicious meals were all excellent.
Great hotel and location. Canal boat tour just across the street with the Otaru Beer Brewery adjacent. There are many patrons frequenting the Sonia Hotel from many different countries, some of which don't know Japanese culture. Be patient and plan to have breakfast, if included with your stay, early morning 6am or later at 9am. These times are less crowded. If you plan to enter the onsen bath, go at the earliest offered time. Enjoy!

Room was considerably smaller than our room in Shibuya, but it was 1/5 the price. Clean and in good shape. Only big downside was lack of pillows and a very hard mattress. We did two non consecutive nights (Sunday and the following Friday) at the Kieo Plaza Hotel as a means for getting to/from the airport (CTS), while on a ski trip. We were skiing (and staying) at Niseko village for the week. The Kieo Plaza Hotel worked out perfectly. We took the city bus from/to CTS, and combined that with a Hokkaido resort bus to get to/from Niseko.
