"What a gem!! We stayed for 4 days. Had to readjust our arrival and departure date at last minute due to typhoon Shanshan☹️. They even refunded our last day stay without asking as we had to leave a day earlier due to approaching typhoon.We arrived at midnight by train and the manager met us on site to welcome us and explain everything. Having a washer and dryer in one machine on site saved us! We would do a load of laundry every night and in the morning have clean clothes. Saved a lot of time...

"Perfect location in Gion, easy walking distance to convenient bus stops and subway stops, as well as many restaurants/shops. The Shirakawa river was so relaxing to watch. From our room, we could see cranes, turtles and large fish! Excellent decor with art and beautiful lighting, incredibly spacious (3 stories, all with full bath) with nice amenities (coffee/tea, pajamas/robe, umbrellas, laundry!, rooftop deck) and all rooms/floors had separate lockable entry code. I had only minor quibbles...

Roomy for our family of four adults; manager was very responsive to our requests; neighborhood offers nice dining and shopping, including a useful grocery store around the corner. Higashiyama subway station is very close, and Gion is a leisurely walk south."

"This was without a doubt the best stay I’ve ever had. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, very communicative despite the gap of languages. The room was fantastic with heated tatami mat floors, immaculately clean and well designed. It was an absolute pleasure and 10/10 would stay there again. "This was one of our favorite stays in Japan. Our room was clean, organized and a great size! The beds were super comfy and we had great sleeps. The area is quiet and is close to a quaint river. We used their luggage delivery service as we arrived in Kyoto before check in. Their office is about a 5 minute walk from Kyoto station, and you can drop your luggage off and they will deliver it to your hotel. This allowed us to enjoy the day without our luggage before our check in! We would recommend...

"Exactly as described! Comfortable, great location in Gion area with easy walking (within 20 minutes) to many attractions. Great transport links either on buses directly outside on the street or short walk (10-15 minutes) to a train station. Keyless entry was convenient and worked very well! Great stay and would recommend."
