The part of the maintenance is true the hotel is not new but it is clean and the service, view, beach, food, etc compensate it. The chef was always supervising the restaurant so you could always ask directly to him and he was really accesible. "

"The location was great, taking a tunnel under the main street to the beach area and snorkeling right from there. We snorkeled as far south as the ferry pier a few times, was very convenient. We borrowed the included bikes and went about 2 miles south (to the marina) and pretty far north as well. Very nice to walk 4-8 blocks to two grocery stores and the main square. You can catch a cab right in the parking lot. We took a cab most days for scuba and they were all friendly and charged the expected rate. The food here is buffet style, it is clean and well prepared but not very interesting. Same for the drinks, it's pretty much the all inclusive basics and nothing special. The shows were also pretty average. That said for the price you can't expect much more. You can take those savings and go elsewhere for a luxurious meal or a drink you might post a picture of on insta. Everyone seemed pretty happy with the resort, and many people in the hot tub were return visitors. If you are a foodie, or want pictures of food for whatever, this isn't the place. Also, no drinks (alcohol or otherwise) in the room fridge, or snacks for that matter, but the grocery is right down the street. "

"We stayed at Paradisus Playa del Carmen and had an excellent experience overall. The resort truly deserves five stars. Our room was spotless, and housekeeping was outstanding. Every day while we were out, the staff cleaned the room, refreshed the bed sheets, and made it feel like the first day again. The pool area was very clean, well organized, and never felt crowded. Poolside service was attentive, and the drinks were high quality. The pool buffet and lunch options were delicious, with great variety and fresh ingredients. Chefs and staff clearly cared about food quality and presentation. The main buffet was open from morning until late evening and offered a wide selection. In addition, there were several specialty restaurants with very good food, and reservations were generally manageable. The beach area was clean and relaxing, with towels, a beach bar, and activities like kayaking included. Entertainment and shows were enjoyable and added to the overall experience. A few small cons: shows were held in different locations each night, so following the schedule was sometimes confusing. Also, some restaurants closed briefly between meal times, and the main pool and pool bar closed around 6 PM, which felt early. Bars in family areas also closed around 10–10:30 PM. Overall, these were minor issues in an otherwise fantastic stay. We would happily return and highly recommend this resort. Booking through Expedia was smooth, and staff professionalism made the vacation stress free."

"The best experience for kids ever, highly recommend it, at the beginning you need to get to know the facility and the stuff are very helpful, food is the best , many many activities specially for kids, rooms and room services are above and beyond , very clean , very attractive and beautiful, pool water cleaner than ozarka water, I am traveler and have been in many places around the world, this one is from my top list for families with kids 1-15 , yes its expensive little bit but worth every penny and more."
