"The Edinburgh Royal was in a great location for seeing the sights. Getting there from the airport by bus was easy, with a stop less a block away. The hotel staff were helpful and welcoming, and the rooms were fresh and contemporary, and had comfy beds and pillows. The complimentary coffee bar and relaxed seating in the lobby provided a great place to rest and watch the world go by before heading back out to explore Edinburgh."

"When arriving at the hotel, we had to wait at least 15 minutes untill somebody showed up to check us in, there is a buzzer one can use but it was completely ignored by the staff. We booked a double room but there was only 1 towel. Once again there was nodoby at the reception desk to ask for more towels so we left a note. The next morning we wanted to eat breakfast at the hotel, we booked a room without it so we needed to pay for it of course but the lady working at that time did everything in...

"I do recommend this hostel. It is in old town, Edinburgh, and it was awesome. The location is good. You will really enjoy it. The only thing I didn’t like is the way the showers they were facing the wall a very hard to get wet."

"The postcode and the attached map on the Expedia website is inaccurate and misleading. It shows the property being nearly opposite the Holyrood parliament buildings. It is in fact right in the heart of the Royal Mile. I wanted somewhere a bit quieter to go to at the end of the day. In fact, the apartment was directly above two pubs and opposite a fringe venue."
