My stay at The Gallery Inn was a charming experience that truly reflects the historic homes and character of Old San Juan. It’s a great place to stay for a couple of nights right in the heart of the city.
A few things could be improved. The hotel doesn’t have an elevator, and if your room is on the third floor, carrying luggage up the spiral staircase can be difficult. There is also no parking, so if you rent a car you’ll need to use nearby parking garages, which can be expensive. The water pressure, especially on the upper floors, is also quite low.
On the positive side, the air conditioning worked perfectly (very important in Puerto Rico’s climate), and the Piano Bar area is beautiful—definitely worth stopping by for a drink as well as Nico’s
Rooftop.
Overall, a charming stay at a good price in Old San Juan.
