It's a lovely weekend. If you are into stargazing, this is the place in Texas. Star parties at the McDonald's observatory are amazing and a must do. The fort is great. The State Park has some dog friendly hikes, one is a nice overlook of Fort Davis.

The town is very cute and friendly. Local stores have a schedule of which restaurants are open on which days. We found a great food truck for breakfast. The night sky is the main event there.

Incredible nature options nearby. Beautiful area. Be aware the town closes really early and surprisingly does not open early. My wife's only coffee option was the little grocery store that opened at 8. That market also had very good breakfast burrito

Pretty nice town to visit. RNR BBQ and Blue Mountain Grille are nice dining options. Go check out Stone Village Market as well!

Fort Davis is beautiful - I enjoyed walking around in the small town. The weather is perfect...I enjoyed antique shopping while I was there. The only drawback is that the dining options are minimal especially on Sundays and Mondays.

Not too many places open for dining on a Saturday evening after our arrival. Almost no place open Sunday morning for breakfast or coffee. That aside, however, the room at the Inn were great.

The city is in low season so it was tough finding dining options but everything was fine at the end

"Clean, comfortable room! Very quaint. In a great location! If you visit be sure to go to the museum around the corner, it was very cool. Will definitely stay here again!"
"A quiet, peaceful setting on the outskirts of town. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast which was included, and at an appropriate time in the morning. I highly recommend staying here while exploring Fort Davis."
"This hotel is always great - my preferred one when I go to FD. I noticed the bed linen had stains on it, and there was dust on the bed frame…just some details that were missed. We were in the casita building that was separate from the main building. TBH it wasn’t by choice - the front desk said all Expedia guests stayed there (which is a first for me. I’ve used hotel.com to reserve my stay there for the preview four times, and I haven’t been shunned to the other building before. It was a little off putting.)"
