"My stay at Le Passage Hotel Cairo was very disappointing and well below expectations.
The most serious issue was the clear preferential treatment based on nationality. Guests who spoke Arabic or were from certain Western countries were consistently prioritized—allowed to skip queues and served faster—while others were left waiting or treated dismissively. This was a repeated pattern and created an unfair and uncomfortable experience. Such bias is unacceptable in an international hotel.
Staff professionalism was inconsistent. While a few were polite, several reception staff were rude and unhelpful, making interactions frustrating.
The breakfast was substandard, with the same limited menu every day and little variety. Some items seemed stale, which further reduced the overall experience.
Rooms are outdated and poorly maintained. Plumbing issues, including clogging and drainage problems, were frequent and inconvenient.
The airport shuttle service was poorly coordinated, especially during pick-up. There was confusion and lack of communication, forcing us to arrange alternative transport at our own expense.
Overall, due to discriminatory service, poor staff behavior, low-quality food, unreliable transport, and aging facilities, I would not recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made."
"Wonderful hotel and top notch service. The hotel is a tourist attraction in its own right, and the pool and garden area are the finest in all Cairo. it is the only place I will stay in Cairo and the location is perfect for everything including trips to Giza and local walking."
"Checkin was okay, this is a new hotel taking up two floors in a very old downtown building. Entrance terrible, lift hardly works, bed linen had top sheet missing and very high pillows. Service was shocking. Staff were rude and surly we were ignored much of the time. Felt we were interrupting them and there were a lot of staff! Breakfast acceptable - only just. We booked in for two nights and checked out early as we could not stay a second night. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. Wait 6 months - they may learn how to show hospitality - or they will go broke!"
"I really enjoyed my stay with my beautiful wife to celebrate our 25 years anniversary, we planning on coming back with our children
Thank you for your service again "
"The staff were horrible, probably the most unaccommodating staff I’ve encountered on my trips abroad so far. I was kindly asking for the WiFi acess as I needed to update people about my arrival to Cairo, but the staff rudely dismissed my concern and gave empty promises. What a very unreliable service!"
