"Clean, quiet, very friendly staff"

"My wife and I really enjoyed staying at the hotel. We had a spacious room with traditonal Japanese tea side, within walking distance to a lot of the main Kyoto temples and shrines. The bussling city center is about a 15 minute walk. The hotel has a coin washer/dryer and nearby convenience stores. The staf was very friendly. I would recommend this hotel."

"We really enjoyed staying in a real house in a real neighborhood for our trip to Kyoto. There was plenty of room for our small family, and we felt we had a more authentic visit to this beautiful city. A couple things to note for those who read reviews is that the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and narrow, and I worried for my husband navigating them in the dark at night. The bed in the second bedroom is on the floor, which isn't a bad thing considering this is an authentic experience,...
