Lovely area, so pleased we stayed there. Great place to base yourselves and visit other larger cities, Florence, and Pisa. The area itself has plenty to see. Definitely take the funicular up to Alto.

Good
I haven't been here in 20 years. It's changed quite a bit. Things have modernized, restaurant offerings seem more geared toward the tourist trade and like much of Italy, Covid took its toll on local businesses, but still retains it's charm.

Good
Nice town plenty to do and see - good mix of restaurants - good central location for travel to Florence and Lucca.
"Its a lovely hotel. Only hotel that gave me complimentary water. Breakfast buffet was fabulous. Staff attended to me promptly. Rooms are neat and big and the ambience is very welcoming. Only issue is the distance. Its located along the highway on the outskirts of town. I cant say its worth the distance (1hr 30mins from town) but its a lovely hotel"
"Awesome experience! Beautiful, classic, quiet hotel. Great front desk help. The breakfast buffet with custom coffee orders was exceptional. Very peaceful setting."
