"We stayed one night at the Leonardo. We booked it for our last day/night in Edinburgh after a lovely tour of the Highlands. We booked there as it was in still close to the Royal Mile but its location made it easier easier to get a taxi to the airport after turning in our rental. 1. When we checked in we were informed our room was actually in the next building. We were told we could take the regular elevator or walk through a connected hallway on the ground level and take another elevator that served those rooms. We tried to take the first elevator. We couldn’t stop on the 4th floor where our room was. So, after several rides up and down, that opened up on other floors we got out and trekked down the “ hallway to the other elevator. "Great hotel, comfortable beds & convenient for the zoo, bus stop outside for getting to the city centre.
Breakfast was excellent, we stayed in a family room & I would return! "
"The staff were very friendly and happy to help. Brilliant location, right next to the Haymarket train and tram stations. Good links for buses and taxis too. Platform 5 pub attached to the hotel is very good, pleasant atmosphere, food and drinks. The room could have been a bit cleaner, in particular the floors. The duvet was incredibly thick, coupled with the fact the windows were screwed shut and the air conditioning would only go to a minimum of 20 degrees, it made for quite a warm night."
"The best chek-in ever! Very fast and efficient. Breakfast was exceptional. From downsides: our sink was blocked and was difficult to use, also the sofa bed needs some lubrication, can not turn on it without waking everyone."
"The hotel is well situated for access to both the new and old town. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was very spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed."
