"The unit was beautiful and was exactly the traditional style we were looking for. A little ways from historic Kyoto but easy to get to in 15 minutes. Sleeping with eye masks helped block the outdoor light in the morning. I wish there were directions for the washer dryer and that the a/c directions were a little more clear. Other than that it was a beautiful spacious stay and shower and onsen were perfect!"

"Out of our entire 2-week trip around Japan, this was the best hotel we stayed in. The hotel was very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Additional amenities like morning croissants and free access to laundry facilities were a great bonus. As this was our honeymoon trip, they welcomed us with a small bottle of carver which was very nice. The area is also very quiet whilst being near key areas such as Nishiki market. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto!"

"This is a small boutique hotel on a narrow street. Well out of the normal noise and bustle of Kyoto, has a lot of Japanese influence, not a lot of amenities. They don't do laundry but have a good breakfast."
