"Staff was great. Very friendly. I've stayed at 4 hotels this trip to Japan. This staff was the best at recommending things to do and what to see given the short amount of time I had in Kyoto. They even helped give me good tips to get back to Kyoto station via train with my luggage. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. The location was a concern at first, but it was a great location getting home at the end of the day and also not too far from the forrest. Really appreciated...

"Excellent stay. Spacious enough room, more so than at the APA in Tokyo. Included breakfast is perfect to start the day with a bit of energy. Location is great, a little back from the busier part of Shijo street to the East, but still just around the corner from the Shijo Omiya station if you need transit, and a 30min walk along the very lively Shijo street to get to the Yasaka Shrine to the East of the river. I did everything by foot over the two days I was there, and loved it."
