Alpine is a friendly place to visit. We went to Amigo's for dinner and stayed for the entertainment provided. The Fajitas were outstanding. The musicians were very talented and friendly. We met several cowboys who were so genuine, open and honest.

Great little college town with some interesting places to eat and drink, listen to local live music. Even took in a local summer outdoor theater production at the university.

A quaint town in the heart of "mountain" territory in Western Texas. Good local restaurants (Line Thai, Spicewood, & Magoos stand out).

Very small town. Beautiful art murals all over. Limited dining options. Also many places either were closed for the weekend or closed by 3/4pm for food options. Big bend museum is nice and worth the stop. People are friendly throughout town.

Alpine is my favorite city to stay in when visiting Big bend. The ride up to Big bend is absolutely amazing I dont mind riding there at all on my motorcycle. Yes it is a ways out but Big bends so huge it takes over an 1hr to get to the park entrance

Great town! I struggled a little at first, but it was because I was driving directly into the Sun, not the town's fault. Great atmosphere. Good food. People are very kind!

Alpine is wonderful and charming. Everyone in town is so friendly and welcoming.
"We booked a room at the Maverick Inn, sister property to the Holland Hotel. Checking in at the Holland, they upgraded us to the rooftop suite at the Holland for no upcharge because the A/C at the Maverick Inn room was broken. We will definitely stay with them again! "
