Going to CR by myself; the staff at Gardens House were awesome. They treated me and those I met that also stayed there very well. I will def return to this place when I come back.

I was a little worried during the taxi ride to the hotel that I had made a terrible mistake in picking the hotel as some of the areas look a little rough (by American standards), however, once at the gated hotel I realized that I indeed had made a good choice when choosing the location as the property is incredibly calming and beautiful. Just know that since you are out of the city you will need to use Uber eat or a taxi to get food as there is no onsite restaurant.

My stay at Los Lagos could not have been anymore magical! The resort is beautiful, so many hidden places to explore. I saw so many birds, lizards, wild boars and other critters during my walks. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak English very well, which helps those without strong Spanish. The grounds are beautiful! The little hiking trail is fun and the multiple hot tubs with some privacy were a nice place to relax. They even serve food and drinks at the pool! The room was clean, beds were comfortable, excellent water pressure and hot water. We especially enjoyed the balcony with a view of the volcano and were impressed with all the food. The hotel is in one of the best location in San Jose if not the best. The staff and facilities are excellent. Outstanding breakfast which is already included on the rate.

We love this hotel. It is a short walk to the beach, offers great facilities and had a great restaurant, all at a very reasonable nightly rate. During our stay the hotel had live music several nights. No worries about what to do, the hotel can arrange excellent tours to meet every desire. We loved the staff. They were very friendly, always helpful, knowledgeable, and treated us like family. Villa del Sueno will be our go to stay for a mid winter break in the future.

We loved everything about this hotel and we are so happy we chose to stay here. The hotel was very clean; we would come in and our room would smell and look amazing. The food options at the restaurant were excellent (we tried all the local dishes and local juices/milkshakes). We felt that the location was perfect- we liked the fact that the airport shuttle was easily accessible; we felt safe walking around the area; and the best part was having a Walmart so close (walking distance) for snacks...

It was a very nice place. The bed was a little uncomfortable but it was a nice place. And the restaurant was absolutely delicious!

The pool was the highlight of the stay very nice facilities outside close to the airport

We were pleasantly surprised at this hotel. It is just as the pictures show and better. Our room and the rest of the hotel was spotless. Front desk and restaurant/bar staff were very kind. We only stayed one night but I would definitely come back. Free shuttle to airport was great as well.

The stay was ok, but I did not know that the free airport shuttle was only one way to the hotel not to the airport

This resort far exceeded my expectations. Even though it was low season, and the resort appeared to be almost empty of guests, it felt fully staffed and the service was excellent in every respect. The tour around the resort when you first arrive is great. We were shown the property by Tony Castro. He was friendly and knowledgeable. This was such a great place to stay! The views were awesome, it was very quiet and peaceful, and it was very unique to stay in a dome. We saw so many hummingbirds and butterflies. The caretakers were the most helpful, friendly, generous people. They went out of their way to help us with anything we needed and they also had a cute friendly dog that greeted us. Just a few minutes away there were a couple restaurants to eat at and it was a 5 minute car ride to Rio Celeste. Highly recommend this...

The resort was not small by any means, but felt intimate. The staff made you feel special, they took the time to remember your preferences and your name. The resort is very well maintained. I would definitely stay here again

Wonderful property. Beautiful and new.

From the moment we stepped from our transfer, we were treated royally - the staff is trained well, very friendly, and efficient! The courtyard, used for meals, was lovely - heaters provided for cooler weather. The menus for both breakfast and dinner offered a variety of local as well as international options. Our standard room was small, but very comfortable. The best feature, for those who love to walk, is the location - a twenty minute stroll from central downtown, near wonderful museums...

This is a brand new property, recently built. This hotel has a great location, steps from the Costa Rica Convention Center, there are shopping malls, clinics, restaurants, at walkable distance. There is shuttle service to the SJO airport, Breakfast was great too including costarican typical food. Hope to be staying here again soon!

The staff at the Bougainvillea welcome and get to know each and every one of their guests. You feel like you are a guest in their own home. The rooms are clean and spacious with great views of the mountain or the garden - I had a tree top view of a flowering Margarita tree - sensational! The dining is good and the prices comparable to most restaurants. Don't expect a bargain as there are none in Costa Rica. Absolutely amazing stay here. The hotel staff was so accommodating and friendly and helped with excursions/transport. The food at hotel was AMAZING. Did not disappoint. 10/10 would stay again
