"This as our 6th visit which in itself speaks volumes. We love this hotel and the area it is located. However, we did notice a difference in the quality and choice of the half board dinner this time. Enough so to possibly consider only going bed & breakfast next time,"
"Highlights:
Great music, facilities, rooms, Pilates / Yoga classes and breakfast!
Lowlights:
All inclusive was more of a semi all inclusive, anything more than what your mum can cook at home you have to pay a premium for. Rooftop on the 16th isn't all inclusive at all, and if you like drinking past 12pm anywhere in the hotel you best get your wallet out because you should be in bed!
Don't go to the beach club for lunch, waited 45 minutes for 2 chicken wings.
Female waitresses at the Adults only pool need to learn how to smile. Proper mood hoovers.
Pool party on Friday was cancelled, but advertised all week in reception... don't do it that time of year apparently but maybe the waitresses couldn't be arsed. Played some beer pong instead and they then got a paddy on for ordering and drinking too much beer...
The hotel needs to hire some entertainment staff for around the pool during the day. Animation team or something to light the place up a bit.
Had a great time none the less, but thought it would be better."
"This Aparthotel has everything you need for a relaxing stay in Tenerife. The apartment is large, nearly all have a sea view (ours was obscured by tropical trees filled with beautiful tropical birds - a pleasant bonus). The pool really is filled with filtered seawater, which is emptied weekly, cleaned then refilled. When you swim out to the deep end (nearest to the coast line) you can see a beautiful view of Mount Teide on a clear day).
The entertainment team offer relaxing poolside group stretch/pilates sessions most days, with stunning backdrops of the ocean/ pool & mountain all at once. Some afternoon light fun activities for families which include darts, boules, aquagym and themed fun by the pool most days (weather dependent of course).
Excellent bus routes link this Aparthotel with the south airport (40 mins on the bus) which offers further routes around the island ((we took a bus to Santa Cruz for the day for museums and shopping & Playa de las Americas for sandy beach days ).
The aparthotel is very close to supermarkets, pharmacies, excellent cafe's. A 5 minute walk greets you with a small Marina filled with sea-view restaurants for locally caught seafood specialties. Make a little effort with the language and you will be welcomed with open arms (not a Brits-abroad town).
The aparthotel has a very small sandy beach next door which offers excellent snorkelling. The on-site restaurant has good quality food, evening live music and a really good daytime poolside menu."
"Santa Barbara is a lovely accommodation in GDS. great location and close to lovely places to eat. The room and complex was ideal. Very good. I gave 4 stars but would have given 5 if I didn’t need to contact for th bed change/towel change as they kept missing our apartment out. However then did the change the next day and they apologised for missing us twice."
