Salfords station, 2004. View southwards, towards Gatwick, Brighton etc.: ex-LB&SCR London - Brighton etc. main line. The station has platforms on the Slow lines only, which run through Redhill. It was opened in 1915 as an unadvertised Halt for local factories and only opened to the public in 1932, the suffix 'Halt' being dropped in 1935.
