Hotel Riu Palace Riviera Maya - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"I was a first-time visitor and the experience was amazing. Check-in with Fernanda was easy, professional, and quick. We spent most of our time in Lounge 24, where Laura, Andrés, and Griselda were the best—Griselda and Laura constantly checked on us, and Andrés took the time to show us around.
I also loved sitting at the Daiquiri Bar; Nelsi is the sweetest. I didn’t catch the name of the gentleman working the pool towels, but he was great as well. And you can’t forget the beach waiter, Kevin—funny and awesome.
Our housekeeper, Araceli, made sure our room was always spotless, and we loved the different towel-animal creations she left for us each day.
Overall, the experience was wonderful and almost everyone we encountered was lovely and kind. Unfortunately, our last night at the Italian restaurant was disappointing, as we felt we were treated poorly. I hope management addresses this, because everything else about our stay was truly exceptional."
"Our trip was amazing. We had a wonderful time with our family. The resort is beautiful and clean and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating.
Restaurants were all great.
Lots of pools. Lots of food options. Lots of kid friendly activities.
The only things that we didn’t love was the chair saving at the pool down by the beach was a little crazy. By 8 am all the chairs are covered with towels there isn’t anyone around. But we have been to other resorts that are the same way.
Would highly recommend this resort especially with families. "

"The staff was friendly. The lobby bartenders were great. The rooms were spacious and clean. The gym was decent size, and appropriate for the number of rooms. The hotel was in a great location! You could walk to the beach or to 5th avenue where many of the restaurants are. You could also walk to the ferry terminal to go to Cozumel. For the price paid, the property had great value and we would definitely visit again. The property isn't all inclusive for everyone and you have to opt in to a certain package. There are different packages and depending on which one you pick you'll get a different wristband. What we were entitled to based on our package was hard to remember, but we eventually figured it out. Since the all inclusive was not standard, there are checks that are delivered at the end of each meal (not including the breakfast buffet) that you have to sign and you can't just walk away. We found that to be annoying at times when we wanted to head out and couldn't find anyone to help. "
