Hotel Riu Palace Las Americas - Adults Only- All Inclusive
4/10 Poor
"Room was clean but bed sheets wasn’t changed and for everything you had to go and ask front to provide like shampoo and conditioner or anything else like toothpaste and toothbrush
Ac and fridge didn’t work properly
Beach was not usable due to massive green seaweed overtake the whole beach
I would give it 2 star
Not recommended"
"This was my second stay at the Occidental and I believe that this resort is top notch. The rooms were clean, the staff was incredibly helpful, and the food was good, also. We will be coming back for future stays in this area. The only complaint that I have is regarding the dinner reservations. It is inconvenient to have to walk to the front lobby to make reservations for dinner. In addition, most reservations needed to be made well in advance. Because of this, we wound up eating at restaurants off the resort."

8/10 Good
"The resort is beautiful, and the staff, food, activities, and spa experience were all excellent. The spa, in particular, was a very relaxing and enjoyable part of our stay.
The only area that needs improvement is the air conditioning. We had to switch rooms twice because the AC in the first room was not working properly. While the second room was an improvement, the AC still did not perform as expected. We chose not to complain again because we did not want to go through another room change.
One thing to keep in mind is that the resort does not seem very flexible with early check-in. If you arrive before your room is ready, I would recommend having a change of clothes handy, such as your swimsuit and a cover-up. Although you may have to wait until 3:00 PM to access your room, you are allowed to use the resort facilities, including the pools and restaurants while you wait.
Despite the AC issues, we still had an enjoyable stay and appreciated the overall experience. With better attention to the air conditioning, this resort would be outstanding."
"I would not recommend this resort. The food was poor quality and the additional restaurants were not impressive. It took a very long time to get a drink by the pool. Many of the staff that interacted with guests knew little English. The resort activities were minimal and honestly not enjoyable. The music by the pool could have been more upbeat. The beach was not well maintained and there was plenty of seaweed. The pillows and beds are in desperate need of being updated. We had to ask for washcloths everyday. Overall the room was clean."
